Trainer Rob McCracken has hailed Anthony Joshua’s development after the boxer compared him to Sir Alex Ferguson.
The legendary manager won 13 Premier League titles during his hugely successful time in charge of Manchester United.

And Joshua recently said he looks at trainer McCracken like a Ferguson figure.
He said: “Rob is the gaffer, I look at him like an Alex Ferguson.
“He is a great manager and trainer, so it was just about variety and being able to bring in different levels of greatness.”
McCracken, who has worked with Joshua since 2010, reacted to Joshua’s claim by saying: “He came to Sheffield very young, he’d just become ABA champ, Sean Murphy did a great job with him at Finchley.

“He was a real talent so I’ve been lucky enough to work with him over the last 10 years and give him advice and help him develop.
“Take him to the right tournaments, pick the opponents that he boxed professionally and dictate from that side.
“But also, give him guidance because for a young fighter who’s new into pro boxing – it is a minefield and you can make the wrong move at any point.
“So it’s been important that he’s listened and he’s developed steadily and improved all the way. “What he’s achieved in the time he’s done it is remarkable.”
McCracken added: “Alex Ferguson watched Birmingham City when he was young because his dad worked in Small Heath for a time. It’s in his autobiography.”
