Now it looks as though he will be on the move again just 12 months on from his transfer.
Inter Milan CEO Beppe Marotta told Sky Sport: “Yes, I can confirm that Christian Eriksen is on the transfer list. He’s going leave in January.
“He’s not functional to our plans and he had difficulty here at Inter. I think it’s right that Christian goes away to find more space.”
Eriksen has just four goals in 37 appearances for Inter MilanGetty Images - GettyEarlier this month, Eriksen admitted being frustrated by his playing time.
“This is not what I dreamed of. I think all football players want to play as much as possible. It is never fun to sit on the bench, but the coach decides who plays.
“It is a special situation, people want to see me play and I also want to play. However, the coach has different ideas and I have to respect that as a player.
“Obviously, mentally it is hard because I am not accustomed to sit on the bench, but now I have had to get used to it.
“Right now things aren’t going well for Inter, but before, when I wasn’t playing a lot, the team won a lot.”
He added: “I am concentrating on my football, then when the transfer window opens we will see if something will happen or not.”
