A COVID-19 infected ship has finally left Fremantle, but another vessel will remain in Western Australia for days.
The Al Messilah and Key Integrity ships both had crew members test positive for the virus last month.
Iron ore carrier Key Integrity, flying under a Liberian flag, left Fremantle on Thursday evening.
Meanwhile, livestock vessel Al Messilah is loading and expected to depart Fremantle within the next few days.
Two of the 20 crew members on-board the Key Integrity, which left Manila on October 6, tested positive for the virus, but they have since recovered.
About half of the more than 50 crew on-board the Al Messilah also tested positive for coronavirus, but they have all recovered.
The vessel sparked controversy after it was revealed two Australians were allowed to disembark the ship before the outbreak was detected.
A Sydney vet and a Busselton stock manager had been on the carrier for up to eight months before it docked in Fremantle.
The pair were able to home quarantine and tested negative.
WA recorded one new case overnight – a returned overseas traveller, aged in his 30s, who is in hotel quarantine.
It takes the state’s total tally to 776, including 16 active cases.
