Liverpool and Manchester City will face Bundesliga opposition in the last 16 of the Champions League, while Chelsea will come up against Atletico Madrid.
All three English sides were seeded in the draw at UEFA’s Nyon headquarters on Monday, meaning they avoided reigning champions Bayern Munich and other big guns such as 13-time winners Real Madrid, Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain and Borussia Dortmund.

Manchester City will also travel to Germany with Borussia Monchengladbach, who are playing in the last-16 for the first time, drawn as their opponents.
Chelsea have arguably the toughest draw of the Premier League sides with Frank Lampard’s men set to face Atletico Madrid, who are second in LaLiga after a fine start to the season.
The first legs are scheduled for February, with the second legs in March. All ties will kick-off at 8pm.
The draw for the quarter-finals, semi-finals and final will then be conducted on March 19.
Barcelona vs Paris Saint-Germain is arguably the tie of the round, where former teammates Lionel Messi and Neymar will come to blows in a mouth-watering clash.
PSG were finalists last season but will have bad memories of facing Barca in 2017, when their 4-0 first-leg lead was overturned in a dramatic 6-1 defeat at the Nou Camp.
Holders Bayern Munich will take on Italian side Lazio, while Cristiano Ronaldo returns to his native Portugal with Juventus to take on Porto.

Guardiola failed to beat Gladbach in any of his last four Bundesliga meetings with them during his time as Bayern Munich coach, having won both encounters in his opening season in Bavaria in 2013/14.
However, he fared better when City faced Monchengladbach in the group stage in 2016/17, his first year at the Etihad, beating them 4-0 at home and drawing 1-1 in Germany.
The sides had also met in the previous season’s group stage, and their first head-to-head was in a UEFA Cup tie in 1979, when Gladbach won 4-2 on aggregate.
