Virgil van Dijk has broken his social media silence undergoing successful knee surgery.

Subsequently, Van Dijk will miss most of the season as he continues his rehabilitation.

After posting a heartfelt message confirming his injury, the 29-year-old has stayed quiet on social media.

However, for the first time since his surgery, he posted a picture of himself with the new in-demand PlayStation 5.

Van Dijk’s caption featured a smiley emoji along with the hashtag ‘PS5’.

On Monday, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp revealed Van Dijk’s knee did not look good.

He said: “Of course we are in contact.

“Considering the circumstances he is doing well but the knee doesn’t look good.

“It doesn’t look how a knee should but looks okay considering the surgery he had.”
