Manchester City’s Twitter account disappeared for a brief period on Wednesday morning.
Trying to access the @ManCity handle resulted in disappointment with nothing but a blank screen and a ‘this account doesn’t exist’ message showing up.
Man City’s Twitter account appeared to have been suspendedThe Premier League giants, who are managed by Pep Guardiola, later confirmed there was nothing sinister behind the Twitter profile disappearing – amid rumours of a possible hack of the Man City account.
It was revealed there were simply technical issues on the social media platform.
These problems were fixed as quickly as promised as by midday the account was back up and running.
After the surprising disappearance of the Twitter account, @ManCity was back up and running by middayMan City made light of the black-out when their account was back up and running.
Fans, of both Man City and rival clubs alike, obviously loved to see the account disappear – albeit temporarily – with many making fun of City for now having more Twitter suspensions than Champions Leagues!
Others made jokes about the Etihad Stadium club being too young for an account on the social media platform, as City were only ‘founded in 2008’.
