Manchester United have a long history of being the Premier League’s biggest spenders and still hold the top-flight’s transfer record.
While Old Trafford fans may be disappointed by the club’s transfer activity over the summer, United have completed a mega-money deals over the years.

Paul Pogba remains the Premier League’s most expensive signing, having rejoined United from Juventus in 2016 for just shy of £90million.
The Red Devils have threatened to break that record – most notably with £100m target Jadon Sancho – but the opinion-dividing Frenchman remains the top man.
United’s major signings have been a touch hit and miss over recent years with the likes of Angel Di Maria flopping and Romelu Lukaku quickly moving on.
Bruno Fernandes and Aaron Wan-Bissaka have faired far better at the Theatre of Dreams and supporters will hope more success stories will come through the door soon.
