Moise Kean was substituted after 18 MINUTES on last visit to Manchester United, now he’s playing alongside Neymar and Kylian Mbappe

Playing in a high-stakes Champions League clash under the lights at one of the world’s biggest stadiums – it doesn’t get much better for footballers.

But Paris Saint-Germain star Moise Kean may have been feeling different ahead of their Champions League clash at Manchester United tonight.

That’s because his last trip to Old Trafford saw him suffer what many players would see as the ultimate insult of being substituted after coming off the bench.

The striker, whose parent club is Everton, was brought on by then-Toffees interim boss Duncan Ferguson in a Premier League clash last December.

Kean entered the fray on 70 minutes with Everton 1-0 up – only to be hooked off the field just 18 minutes later.

The Italy international did not appear to be carrying an injury as he reluctantly trudged off the pitch with Oumar Niasse coming on in his place.

It was later revealed that Kean was not injured, with Ferguson explaining the decision to take the player off was to ‘kill a bit of time’ – with Mason Greenwood bagging Man United’s equaliser in the 77th minute.

Ferguson said: “It wasn’t because of Moise Kean’s performance, it was just because I needed to make a substitution to kill a bit of time.

“I’ve got so many strikers on the bench, I just decided to make that change. It was nothing against Moise Kean really.”

That humiliation for Kean epitomised his first season at Goodison Park, as he scored just two goals in 33 appearances for them all season.

But what a difference a year can make as Kean starts PSG’s crunch clash against the Red Devils where he lines up alongside Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.

It’s a match PSG must win to avoid elimination from this season’s competition so what a perfect time it would be for Kean to exorcise his Old Trafford demons.

The Parisians have started with intent and took an early lead at Old Trafford as Neymar fired the ball beyond David de Gea on six minutes, however, the home side hit back as Marcus Rashford’s shot deflected in off Abdou Diallo.
