Nitchiananthan voluntarily resigns from all positions in HSS Engineers

PETALING JAYA: HSS Engineers Bhd (HEB) has entered into a mutual separation agreement with group CEO and executive director Datuk Nitchiananthan Balasubramaniam, whereby he voluntarily resigned from all positions within the group.

In a statement, the group said following its Bursa filing on Oct 27, since Nitchiananthan has voluntarily resigned, it has decided to discontinue the investigations which have not conclusively determined alleged misconducts by him.

The effective date of his resignation will be Nov 30.

“Nitchiananthan intends to move on with his professional career and his other personal interests. HEB would like to record its sincere appreciation to Nitchiananthan for his years of contribution and service to HEB and its group of companies,” the company said.

To recap, last month, the group said it was suspending Nitchiananthan for four weeks in order to facilitate an independent investigation into alleged misconduct over his handling of the affairs of the company.

In the interim, the group’s executive vice chairman Tan Sri Kunasingam V. Sittampalam took over to perform the functions of group CEO.
