Oleksandr Usyk gives brilliant reply when asked which heavyweight champion he’d prefer to fight out of Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury

Oleksandr Usyk has already proved that he does not fear anybody in boxing.

During his reign as cruiserweight champion, the Ukrainian cleaned out the entire division, travelling to every other champion’s home country to dethrone them in front of their own supporters.

This included wins over WBO champion Krzysztof Glowacki in Poland, WBC champion Mairis Briedis in Latvia and WBA & IBF champion Murat Gassiev in Russia.

On top of this, Usyk also conquered Michael Hunter in America and Tony Bellew in the UK.

Now, the unbeaten 33-year-old has moved up to heavyweight and is scheduled to face his first real test against Derek Chisora on Saturday night.

Due to his status as undisputed cruiserweight king and WBO ‘super’ champion, Usyk has automatically been promoted to become the WBO’s mandatory challenger at heavyweight.

This means that, providing he beats Chisora, he will be next in line to challenge unified WBA, IBF and WBO champion Anthony Joshua.

His other option would be to take on WBC title-holder Tyson Fury.

When asked which of the two elite heavyweights he wants to try and dethrone, Usyk gave a brilliant reply.

He simply told Sky: “I want to fight both.”

Usyk added: “The last thing I think about is who will fight who. No predictions.”
