A hot tempo early played right into the hands of the Tom Dabernig and Ben Hayes-trained Personal, claiming her maiden Group 1 in the VRC Oaks (2500m) at Flemington on Thursday.
Champion hoop Damien Oliver was the winning rider, giving him back-to-back victories in the race after winning aboard Miami Bound in 2019.
