Are we nearing the time the axe will fall on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer?
The pressure is mounting on the Manchester United boss after another defeat, as Arsenal secured a 1-0 win at Old Trafford on Sunday to make it three defeats from only six matches this Premier League season.
Solskjaer has been widely criticised in the wake of the Arsenal defeat as Man United put in a poor performanceAFP or LicensorsSure, the Red Devils are performing well in Europe – beating PSG and RB Leipzig in the Champions League group stage – but their poor domestic form sees them 15th in the top-flight with just seven points from a possible 18.
And it appears many are running out of patience with Solskjaer, who has just not been able to find any sort of consistency since taking his place in the Old Trafford dugout in December 2018.
Former United midfielder Roy Keane admitted he fears for Solskjaer’s job, while Troy Deeney told talkSPORT the Norwegian is not the man for the Red Devils as he is not respected by the players.
Incredibly, one United fan has even called for Solskjaer to be sacked and replaced by none other than Steven Gerrard – the Liverpool legend currently in charge of Rangers!

Surprisingly, Frank Lampard is not overly safe in his position at Chelsea, Ladbrokes believe, even though the Blues appear to have turned a corner and look solid in defence and exciting in attack.
Man City’s Pep Guardiola also appears to be at some risk as he is just 25/1 to leave the Etihad, behind the likes of Dean Smith at Aston Villa and Graham Potter at Brighton.
At the other end of the market Liverpool’s Jurgen Klopp is very safe at 100/1 to leave, while Jose Mourinho and Mikel Arteta’s positions at Tottenham and Arsenal respectively continue to strengthen as the two north London rivals improve with every passing week.
