Roy Keane got ‘angry’ watching ‘stupid’ Albania goalkeeper concede goal straight from kick-off against Kazakhstan in Nations League

Roy Keane was his typical brilliant self as he reacted to Albania goalkeeper Etrit Berisha conceding a goal straight from kick-off against Kazakhstan.

Albania had taken an early 2-0 lead in the Nations League at the Air Albania Stadium on Sunday, but they allowed their opponents immediately back into the encounter.

Aybol Abiken tried his luck straight from kick-off and the ball flew over Berisha’s head and into the net, with the glovesman seemingly caught off guard by the effort.

Former Manchester United midfielder Keane was a pundit on ITV last night and had a few strong words to say about the incident.

Keane said: “You wouldn’t forgive him. International football… what was he doing?”

Arsenal legend Ian Wright added: “Why is he not in the goal? What’s he doing that far out?!”

Keane added: “It’s stupid. I’m angry watching it.”

Luckily for Berisha, Albania went on to win the game 3-1 with Ray Manaj scoring a 62nd minute penalty to seal the win.

Sokol Cikalleshi and Ardian Ismajli had earlier put the hosts 2-0 up before the Kazakhstan equaliser.

The win puts Albania second in group C4 heading into their final Nations League group match where they will face current leaders Belarus knowing a win will send them top.
