Rachael Ostovich is the latest high-profile fighter to be cut from the UFC and joins Yoel Romero in exploring free agent status.

President Dana White told reporters at the UFC Vegas 16 post-fight press conference there would be as many as SIXTY fighters joining Romero on the proverbial scrap heap.

And popular women’s flyweight Ostovich is the latest big-name star to be culled after winning just one of her four fights in the company in the past three years.

Ostovich joined the UFC after winning The Ultimate Fighter against Karine Gevorgyan via armbar, but it proved to be her sole win.

The UFC roster is more inflated now than it has ever been before, with more than 500 names currently attached to the company.

Romero, 43, has lost four of his last five with the UFC including three middleweight world title fights against Robert Whittaker (twice) and Israel Adesanya.

The Olympic wrestler remains in phenomenal physical condition and it seems as though Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship are interested in bringing his free agent status to an end.

After Ariel Helwani revealed both the PFL and Bellator have no interest in signing the Cuban, BKFC President David Feldman told BJPenn.com he would love to sign Romero.

“How could we not be? He has BKFC written all over him,” he said. “He would be a welcomed addition, we will see if we can make it happen.”
