UFC schedule 2021: Every upcoming event from Conor McGregor vs Dustin Poirier, Leon Edwards facing Khamzat Chimaev in his next fight and Kamaru Usman vs Gilbert Burns

The new year begins with a bang in January as the UFC has created some mouth watering fights.

Yes, we have the return of Conor McGregor but also Max Holloway and Khamzat Chimaev are in action. Then there’s also Kamaru Usman’s welterweight defence in February.

The world of MMA continued to flourish throughout a difficult 2020 despite the restrictions the global pandemic threw up.

But UFC boss Dana White has been determined to keep the action going.

Events have taken place behind closed doors since March but there was some truly memorable action in 2020.

Usman beat Jorge Masvidal at UFC 251 on ‘Fight Island’ in July and the company was back in Abu Dhabi in the autumn as Israel Adeasanya defended his middleweight title against Paulo Costa.

In October, Khabib Nurmagomedov claimed a stunning win over Justin Gaethje in the headline bout of UFC 254 before the legendary Russian retired from the sport.

The 2020 UFC calendar is now done and dusted and we are gearing up for what should be another thrilling year in 2021.

Up first, McGregor – on Fight Island – in a rematch of his 2014 fight with Dustin Poirier.
