UFC sensation Khamzat Chimaev has hit a roadblock on his stunning rise in the company.

The Russian-born Swede has raced to a 9-0 record and he has won all three of his first UFC bouts. Incredibly, he won those three bouts in just 66 days.

Khamzat Chimaev has destroyed everyone in his path thus far in UFC

Chimaev is set to headline a show in his next outing at the UFC APEX facility, but UFC are having a real hard time finding an opponent for their newest phenomenon.

The 26 year old took to Twitter on Friday to name and shame the opponents who have turned down fights with him.

“I just want to let my fans know and the people who support me the ufc offer me Wonderboy and he turned it down at 170 and also Chris Weidman at 185 who also turned it down. I’m coming for everyone.”

Of course, both of those fighters are ranked in the UFC and for Chimaev to get a ranked fight already – especially against someone as high as Thompson who is fifth at welterweight – is unprecedented.

Stephen Thompson has openly admitted he turned the Chimaev fight down

Thompson was not shy on explaining why he didn’t want the fight.

“No, I’m not fighting him, man. I mean, it just doesn’t make sense for me at this point. I’m ranked No. 5 to fight a guy who is unranked? You know what I mean,” Thompson said (via TheBodyLockMMA).

“I fought a lot of guys to get to where I’m at. And a lot of other fighters fought a lot of guys to get where they’re at so I don’t see why it’s okay for him to jump past everybody.”

Michael Chiesa is ranked eighth at welterweight and he appreciates that Chmiaev is a talent, but he says people are not running from a fight with Borz because they’re scared.

“If he beats me, he takes my spot. If I beat him, they’re like, ‘Oh, it’s a flash in the pan.’ You know what I mean? I probably don’t move up the rankings either.

“It’s like, dude, I’m trying to fight for a world title. You’ve got to do smart business. … The guy is legit. I respect his skills. I just don’t know if that’s the fight I want right now. He beats a guy and gets ranked? That’s a different story,” explained Chiesa.

“I can see why all these guys don’t want to fight him. It’s not that they’re (scared). There’s not a guy on the roster that’s afraid of anybody. When someone says, ‘Joe Schmo is afraid of John Smith?’ Like, (expletive) no.

“You’ve got to think about it like this,” said Chiesa. “He beats a guy, like a veteran – let’s say, theoretically, he beats a ‘Wonderboy.’ Now, it’s lucrative. Now, it’s like, ‘Hell yeah.’ Now, he’s proven he’s the real thing.”
