In the 1990s, most major heavyweights in boxing were represented by King.

The American promoter controlled the division for a period of time with Tyson one of many on his books.

However, ‘Iron Mike’ later discovered issues in his financials and in 1998 sued King for $100million.

Tyson alleged he had been cheated out of millions during the course of their working relationship. They ultimately settled for $14million.

In the years that have followed, Mike has given numerous interviews slamming King.

He previously labelled the 89-year-old ‘ruthless’, ‘deplorable’ and ‘greedy’.

Tyson also told the famous tale of the time he kicked King in the head as they fought during a car journey.

When they were reunited on stage at a boxing Hall of Fame event in 2018, King walked past Tyson.

He appeared to approach his ex-fighter and put his hand on his shoulder as if to greet him.

Tyson reacted angrily and hurled his water at the promoter who subsequently scurried off stage.
